SHAFFER Whisky Turbo
Suitable for: grain mash
Weight : 73 g
Alcohol turbo yeast is optimal for fermenting grain mashes made from barley, corn, wheat, rye, and other starchy products, but it can also be used for fermenting sugar mashes.
Recipe
To prepare the mash, you need 25 liters of pre-saccharified grain wort. Place the wort in a sanitized container with a capacity of 28 liters or larger. If you want to increase the sugar content of the mash, you can add sugar or dextrose. The total hydromodulus (the ratio of sugar to water) should not exceed 1 kg/3.5 l. You can also use unhopped malt extract. The temperature of the wort before adding yeast should not exceed 28°C. Open the packet of yeast and pour its contents into the container. Mix thoroughly. Maintain the fermentation temperature in the range of 22-28°C. Loosely close the lid to allow carbon dioxide to escape. The approximate fermentation time and temperature conditions are shown in the table. Do not place the container with the wort near a heat source to prevent overheating. A water seal may not be used. The 73 g package is designed to ferment 25 liters of mash in 7 days. The alcohol content in the finished mash can reach 12% * The maximum alcohol content of the mash is 15%. The total volume of sugar should not exceed 7 kg per 27 liters of water.
